Sophie Blanc’s work stems from a dialogue with nature. With a near-scientific approach, she observes, selects, and categorizes the botanical elements that capture her eye and resonate with her sensibilities. Each form and texture becomes both a subject of study and a fragment of memory.
Branches, flowers, seed cups, and other plant matter become imprints of a moment, a landscape, or an emotion. Gold leaf complements this process, lending a new permanence to these natural fragments. Her works do more than capture the world’s mesmerizing beauty; they reveal its fragility. Her reimagined landscapes offer a tangible presence to the viewer while preserving traces of the living world.
Sophie Blanc explores what remains with us from our earliest encounters with the world—those childhood discoveries and moments of wonder when every element of nature seemed new. It is a sense of recognition that is essential to the act of preservation.

Sophie Blanc is a Master Artisan in the fine crafts, trained at the École Boulle. She participated in the Révélations fair in 2022 and was invited to the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire in 2023, followed by the Homo Faber biennial in Venice in 2024. Her works are held in private collections, including that of Maison Guerlain.
