Unlimited : December 2 - January 15
Elia Pagliarino summons the great models of art history with a question as a starting point: why do certain portraits become icons? By carrying out a documented investigation, the artist takes up each portrait by imbuing it with the story that accompanied their original creation. The style exercise tries to get as close as possible to the models in order to capture their essential part, that allows them to be recognizable and identifiable. A work on popular memory that is both complex and playful.
Elia Pagliarino was born in 1967. She lives and works in South of France.
