Françoise de Felice
Voyage intérieur
Françoise de Felice’s paintings illuminate a dreamlike world imbued with the splendors of Italian Baroque. Fabrics, headdresses, finery, and poses evoke a precious aesthetic and the refinement of a bygone era. Her evanescent figures reach us like delicate apparitions. Most of them are women, who have survived the centuries and offer their gaze to the modern world.
Through a play of intersecting glances between her characters and the spectators, Françoise de Felice captures a timeless humanity. The signature of her painting has become recognizable over the years.
Françoise de Felice was born in Paris. She lives and works in Dinard.
She trained at the Sorbonne and the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she attended as an independent student.
Solo show at the Galerie Bettina from October 3 to 31.
